GEORGETOWN WORLD CUP ART PROJECT

What: 

Creating 48+ themed murals/pieces in a defined area for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.


Where:

In the Georgetown neighborhood of South Seattle.


When: 

World Cup 2026 runs from June 11th to July 19th.


Why: 

To bring attendees & travelers to a World Cup specific art project highlighting artists in one of south Seattle’s best neighborhoods: Georgetown!

  • Promote our AMAZING neighborhood, art & artists
  • Increase in visitors & exposure from all around the city, state, country & world
  • Improved walkability & vibrant spaces for visitors & residents
  • Help highlight current & future Georgetown places, events and initiatives
  • Create a project that will not only become a permanent part of Georgetown, but also attract more artists' works in the future

How: 

Organizing businesses & artists to come together to create pieces/murals in defined locations before the start of the 2026 World Cup.
